can calibration fix "problems" with PDP-5080HD?

I just read the CNET review of Pioneer PDP-5080HD plasma.
http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...?tag=pdtl-list

CNEt refers to "less-than-perfect color accuracy" and "incomplete color temperature controls" as being some weaknesses of the set. Would an ISF calibration fix all this so these are no longer a problem? or can a calibration fix this?

Does the PDP-5080HD let the viewer display black sidebars? or does it only allow gray sidebars (I know gray is better for burn in)?

You are going to let some miniscule criticism of performance scare you yet then even consider using black bars on 4:3 content?

The CNET review didn't scare me. It made it sound like those color problems couldn't be fixed though. That seemed strange to me -- cause won't a simple calibration fix it?

Can you never use black bars on plasma? Burn in is that big a problem?
bring it home then tell me how terrible the calibration is...
I just brought home a 5080HD and it's spectacular. It's in the break-in period, so it will only get better. Despite CNET's review, it's been voted as the best plasma in 2007 by a few A/V magazines. Every TV will have it's strengths and weaknesses. Even at 720P, the Sony and Samsung sales reps said they would go with the 5080HD over their 1080P models. Best Buy currently has it for $2249, but I was able to shave off another $200 off. This is my 2nd HD TV and I couldn't be happier.
