Can Cat. 5, 6 or 7 be used for analog surround interconnects?

I want to be able to play my games in my theatre room with proper EAX surround.

This means I have to connect the analog outputs on my PC's Audigy-4 card to the analog inputs of my Denon AVR3805. However, my PC is located in a different room and there is not enough room for 6 channels worth of minijack to RCA interconnects in the two tubes I have installed in the walls.

I have rooom, hovewer for one ethernet cable in each tube and I'm now considering what kind of degradation to audio quality I can expect if I use the twisted pairs of an ethernet cable for analog audio. I was hoping that the Cat. 7 cable, which is very well shielded and uses copper cables. would be up to the job but before I spend a lot of hours and money on this I would like some opinions.

Could I get away with a shared ground for all the channels? If so one cable could be enough?

The only alternative I have found so far is to get the Audigy 2 ZN and connect it to the USB hub I have in my theatre. I'm guessing this will be more expencive and I'm abit worried about lag because of the long USB cable:

( 5 meters/15' -> powered USB hub -> 5 more metres).

I'm using Cat 5e for everthing in my house - it all runs through the distribution panel into each room allowing me to swap out TV, Phone & Internet quickly and easily. Very little Cat 5 can't transmit.

Cheers
