Or more correctly: Can you add local OTA channels into the guide of the 6000? Or do you have to hit a 'sat-Ant' button to do this?

If you have the 8VSB module for the 6000, it seemlessly switches between OTA and satellite. OTA channels are below 100 and start with a zero and satellite channels start at 100 and go up. You just enter in the channel number, 002 for OTA channel 2 and 9440 for satellite channel 9440. Works really great.
