Hi All,
Bit of a weird query here. I recently had the opportunity to review a new Hong Kong Legends DVD entitled Game Of Death 2 at:
http://www.bulletsnbabesdvds.com/article.php?sid=594
Now the title features some minor edge enhancement that runs vertically on black images on a high contrast white or yellow background.
I then got a call from the DVD Producer who wanted to see it as he stated that they never use any artificial sharpening or filters in their restoration process.
When he came to my house he agreed with what I was seeing but was at a loss to explain it, and reconfirmed that they did not apply any techniques. He was going away to investigate what was causing it.
Does anyone here know if something in the film restoration/DVD production cycle might cause such an issue?
Kind Regards Neil.
