Is anyone else having issues connecting to get the nightly downloads?

I keep getting NO ANSWER. I have changed the phone number like 10 times and I still get nothing! I understand that the number were updated and went through the setup to get the new number but none of them are answering! This is VERY annoying as I can't watch tv and all my recordings are OBSOLETE CHANNELS and have been deleted.

This is an all in-one showstopper with the 27" tv. My standalone running version 3.xx has had no issues.

Thanks.

Hi ShowStopperMan, I know you're a veteran to Showstopper connectivity problems. I believe the combos never upgraded the modem software. Have you checked to see if the combo has the modem speed panel?

Assuming it doesn't you will have to work around the modem speed mismatch problem manually. Unplug the unit immediately before connecting using 243 zones - net connect and/or pick up a phone extension as the combo modem is negotiating with the replay server.

Maybe some day the combo will get the modem software upgrade.

i have also had that same problem. the combo PV-SS2710 would get a set of #'s on initial dial in,but fail to get info from server, either primary -dead #, or alternate,-unable to authorize connection. sent in for repair

another unit failed to upgrade, but a third worked fine. (i bought 2 other for friends at $269!). after waiting 2 weeks for part from panasonic, i had them return the unit to me until it is available. upon trying again both duds

took a new phone # for primary and proceeded o load properly. alternate

# still gives unable to authorize reading. so i reason that there is some server header on certain #'s that doesn't handle the linkup for 2710's

multiple calls to panasonic resulted in wasted storage of combo when all it took was a properly working server. 1st unit still has not been "fixed" but i don't need to now,but if it fails due to true modem problem good luck getting it fixed. same alternate # that gave unable to authorize service

message worked just fine for several PV-HS2000's so it has to be a server glitch as i did not kick the combo unit although i was tempted..hehe
