I would think so....you could also spend $10 at Home Depot and buy some moulding and paint that, or cover it with some felt/velvet/etc. That's what I did, gives a nice sharp definition to the edge of the screen.

OR... Do what I did, Go to a theatrical supply store (look in your yellow pages) and buy Gaffers Tape, and just tape around the edges.

Yeah, I did what JDLIVE suggested. I have a 2" molding border around my screen. I used a flat black paint, to paint the borders which turned out good. I am however, thinking about getting some black felt and wrapping my border with it. Even though I used flat paint, the light still reflects on the border. I am thinking that the black felt would definitely do the trick. :)

www.rosebrand.com has adhesive black duvetyne tape in various widths. Next to black velvet or felt, this is about as light-absolbing as you can get for a border.

For my screen, I used 1x4 poplar wood (very straight, but expensive), inside edges routed with a 45 degree bit to reduce shadow casting, then wrapped with 16oz black velvet. To attach the velvet, I used spray adhesive on the front side, and my electric staple gun on the backside of the border. It was then screwed from behind to my screen frame.

The results are most impressive!
