via usb, and access files on macbook hard drive? i.e actually using as fat32 ext hard drive? any one?

Your macbook pro internal hard drive is undoubtedly formatted HFS+ and the PS3 cannot read that. Besides, there is no way to connect 2 "host" USB devices directly to each other. That is, you cannot usefully connect a Macbook pro to a PS3 via USB cable.


If what you really mean is that you have an external USB hardrive that you use with your Macbook pro and it is formatted FAT32 and you want to connect it your PS3 and access files, then yes that will work.
