Sometimes when I'm working around the house I like to pump the volume up on music . I have paradigm monitor 9's, a cc-370 center, and titan rears. These speakers are hooked up to a Denon 3803. I got the receiver to -1db the other day and things did not sound distorted. Is their a volume level that will potentially damage my speakers, or am I pretty safe with this set up? My channel levels on the receiver are at 0, and my speakers are set to small with a 80hz crossover.

If you were to break the speakers, it would be most likely due to clipping in the power amp. But your Paradigms are fairly efficient speakers (93-94dB/W in-room). So it is unlikely that you are approaching at the level where the Denon exhibits clipping.

What is the actual peak SPL are you listening at, in what size room?
