I'm considering the following setup.
Let's assume that I will never use surround sound in 7 channel mode. I will ONLY have 5 speakers (2 front towers, 1 center, 2 rears) plus a seperately powered sub.
Separately, I'll have 2 outdoor patio speakers and 2 'other room' speakers. (They are represented by the blue and green circles).
Could I use 5 channels of the UPA-7 to power my 'surround sound' and the remaining 2 channels to power the other auxillary speakers? The way I'm thinking is that both pairs of speakers would run into a switch box that would be connected to the amp's remaining 2 channels. The speakers could either be on as individual pairs or simultaneously.
I know I may not be explaining this well or with the right terminology so please ask me any questions if I need to clarify or correct myself.
