I recently purchased a Samsung HC-P4752W CRT RPTV. I noticed that there appeared to be some bowing problems on the right side of the screen. So, I went into the manual convergence mode and this (see attached) is what I get when looking at the red gun only. The blue and green guns seem to be ok. Also, it seems to be more pronounced when the resolution is at 1080 instead of 480.

I tried fixing it using the convergence adjustments, but no such luck. I am wondering if this is something I can fix myself or if it warrants a call for a service tech to come out. Any ideas?

I've also noticed that the focus on the screen seems to be razor sharp on the left hand side of the screen and gradually defocuses to soft on the right side of the screen. Perhaps the two conditions are related.

Back to the geometry, I also noticed that the blue does it as well, though not as much as red, and green does it a bit, but not much at all.

I'd rather not call someone to come out if this is something I can correct myself. Help!

Hey there. I bought a Samsung HC-P4752w from Sams club this weekend and am having the same issue you are having. There seems to be a focus issued moving left to right. There also seems to be a convergence issue in the same direction. Though I am not sure how to fix it yet, I am wondering if calibrating with the Avia software would help. Also, I dont know how to use the manual convergence feature. Could you tell me how to access that.

Thanks
