Now that I have a new HD video camera, is it possible to record Blue ray files on a hard drive (rather than Blue ray disks) and play them back through a media server connected to a TV? I know storing a video library on hard drives may not be the cheapest way to store your video library, but I love the convenience of instant access to video data without having to manage physical storage like tapes, CDs, DVDs and blue ray disks. Can I do this?

Convert them to AVCHD or MP4 and stream them. This is especially easy if you have a PS3. There are lots of tutorial on the web for this kind of thing.

Swing over to the other interest/camcorder areas for lots of useful tips.

BTW, what HD cam do you have?
