I've got the upgrade bug, but I am TERRIBLE with woodworking(and have no tools). I do have a fully working dayton 10". can I just swap it for a better driver(I assume it would have to be another 10", but I dont know). and maybe a better amp? would something like this be an easy job, or would I have to worry about all of the mathimatical computations I see in this forum? thanks for any help!

What are you tring to swap the dayton 10" with. We need a little bit more info if you realy want some help. It would also help if we knew what dayton 10" driver you are referring to. What are the dimensions of the enclosure? Is it ported or sealed? If ported whats the id and the length of the port or ports?

Are you talking about this ...........

and swaping with another driver?
as far as what I'd want to swap it with, I was going to see what my options were. I have the 10" 300-632 found here . it was the 100w, down firing, front (flared)ported box. the exterior dimensions are: 12-5/8" W x 16-7/8" H x 15-5/8" D. unfortunately, this is all of the info I have. is this something that is probably out of my league?
Well what kind of budget are you willing to spend?
well, I'd like to be under 250. anything past that, and I would likely start to look at the bic h100, or maybe an hsu.
