Flat out, plug in and play, does not work with my headset. I've tried it on each of the USB ports. No game audio, no chat audio, can't talk...no dice.

I have my XBOX One next to my PC. The XB1 is plugged into my monitor via HDMI, my monitor's headphone jack is plugged into my PC's Line-in. With that, I'm able to hear XB1 game audio.

For chat audio, you apparently have to hook something up to your game controller for it to work. There's no way to plug any PC USB headset into the controller that I'm aware of.

I purchased a USB to 3.5mm adapter, hoping it would work. It didn't. How I'm testing, is plugging in my phone, first. My PC doesn't pick anything up in the Device Manager. No Recording device in the Sound manager, either. Could I have gotten the wrong adapter which only supports charging? The 3.5mm plug appears to have 4 poles (3 black lines = 4 poles, yes?).

So the question is, is there an adapter which can stream audio, both ways from 3.5mm (4 pole) to USB?

Edit: My headset is a Logitech G930 headset.
