Can i use this cable for INPUT1... VGA?



Reason.... I have an xbox that I need to connect to my VGA port since my component port is already taken. I dont want to buy a component spliter.


I just tried the http://www.x2vga.com and I wasn't very thrilled with the colors on it. It looked very dull compared to component.


I want to try using this cable... plug the component ends of this cable to my Xbox Hi-Def expansion pack... and plug the VGA end to INPUT1. Will I get all my hi-def modes to work (mainly 480p, 720p, and 1080i... dont care about 480i). I thought somebody in the past said INPUT1 is a component hi-def input... but I want to make sure this cable will work before I spend any more cash.

It should work fine. I watch 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i through the VGA INPUT1.

Well... i got the cable. It works fine connecting it to my cable box component outputs and into INPUT1 VGA on the plasma.


I didn't work plugging the component side into the xbox hi-def expansion pack and the VGA side into INPUT1 VGA on the plasma. All I got was green colors. I tried changing the settings but using the Xbox i didnt get an RGB/Component switch.


Its working with my cable box so its good.
