I'm thinking about purchasing a myHD card, but I don't have a HD Ready TV yet. Will I be able to view HD programming on my VGA monitor? If yes, will it display the maximum resolution (1080i)? In other words, will I experience the same quality as a HD Ready TV?

Yes, a computer monitor will work great...

The resolution depends on which card you'll pick.

With the HiPix, AccessDTV, MyHD and HiDTV, the best resolution will be the lower of (720p, 1080i) and the native resolution of your monitor.

With the FusionHDTV cards, you could run any resolution (1080p or higher), provided you video card can output it

More likely than not, the picture will be at least as good as on an HD ready TV (it will likely have better resolution, but the picture will unfortunately be smaller)

Not all monitors support interlaced modes. I'm running my 'MyHD' on my 21" Panasonic monitor at 1280x720p60... looks fantastic...
