I may have to relocate to Europe, which of course brings up the question whether I can use my JVC 40k D-VHS deck with a step down transformer over there. Will it handle the 50Hz?


I'm not concerned about recording, I just want to watch my current HD recordings.


Does anybody know the answer, or maybe even use a US D-VHS deck in Europe?

It will work fine on 50Hz but you need voltage step down transformer from 220/240V to 120V.
