We will be receiving a new Sony KDP-65WS550 TV this Thurs. We are currently DirecTV subs and has a Samsung DirecTivo unit connected to our ex. TV via S-Video. When the new TV arrives, I will be hooking it up the same way. My question is this. If we sub to the $99 HDTV deal and receive the Sammy TS160 and I hook it up to the new Sony via DVI, do we simply switch the input on the TV to the DVI input when we want to watch Hi Def and switch the input on the TV to S-video for everything else? Also, this new TV has a built-in OTA receiver. I will be purchasing the SilverSensor antenna for the local HDTV channels. Would I be better off connection the 75 ohm cable from the Silver Sensor to the 75ohm input on the TV and therefore use the built in OTA tuner or connect it to the 75 ohm input on the Sammy 160? Thanks for all your help. This noob is trying to decipher all this stuff. I wonder what the electromagnetic field swill be like in our townhome when Im done.
