I bought this DVD player obviously looking to upconvert my DVD's. I also bought the needed HDMI cable.


So far everything with the DVD player works great, but when I play a dvd it is only in 480p (which looks nice), I can't figure out how to get it to the 720p or 1080i that it is suppose to do.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the unit stopped (blue screen displaying), you can cycle through the resolution settings using either the remote resolution button or the resolution button on the unit next to the open-tray button. The resolution is displayed on the unit readout. The first press will display the current resolution and the second press will select the next one. The selection order is 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and then starts over at 480i.
