im replacing the jbl balconly speakers i have for the rears on my sytem

i want to replace then with bic dv62si as i have them in the front, but heres were my problem comes in they cant be wall mounted and i need them to be because i dont have room for a speaker stand

the bic's weigh about 16 pounds per speaker

heres what i was thinking

1. take the keyhole slot bracket off of the jbl and put them on the bic

but heres the problem with that, doing that would place the speaker 1/4 inch away from the wall and they have a rear firing port

2.put them on a shelf

but heres the problem with that, my landlord doesnt want a bunch of screw holes in the wall

i was also thinking of just buing a set of polk t15's or monitor 30's, i know it doesnt match my bic's but the specs are reasonably close and are much better than the jbl's they would be replacing,

Buy something like this which would work with any bookshelf speaker.

Any chance you could post a pic to help us better what you're working with? It might help us give you better/more options.

You probably are a candidate for speaker brackets. Omnimount and other companies make them and they will get the speaker away from the wall (which will benefit the port) as well as allow you to angle them as needed.
put the speakers on the wall

just fix the holes in the wall before you leave.
