Short answer: No. Cable uses a different modulation scheme then over-the air transmissions.
TWC in new york does transmit cbs-hd in a manner compatible with the dtc-100. Until last thursday they transmitted HBO as wee. But this is not supported.
If you are physically located in South Carolina like in Columbia/Florence/Sumter, then you have to wait for Time Warner box. They use the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000HD box which is QAM encoded not 8VSB. You will need their digital cable service and the HD box to get their offerings. Currently they have HBO, Showtime and PBS in HD.
