No. The big benfit of the VGA cable is the wider range of resolutions, so there's a good chance you may be able to select one that has 1:1 pixel mapping with your display.

Everything over VGA is locked to 60Hz (no 1080i) .
For those with 1366x768 displays the closest you will get with the VGA cable is 1360x768 .
