I understand that if you hang a projector from the ceiling, you hang it upside down to account for the lense shift. Is it generally possible to flip the lens so I can put the projector on a high shelf but have it sit right side up?

Thanks for any info.

Only with projectors that have lens-shift capabilities-like the Sanyo Z2. That means you can shift the position of the screen down in front of the lens center-this is what I do now. Another trick is to flip the pj upside down but put risers or lifts underneath the chassis so the whole thing isn't touching down on the shelf- then just use ceiling mode. I've done this too with my previous pj.

That is an interesting question. However, it may be how the lens is connected, and not it's orientation, that makes the difference. That is, there is nothing in the lens that is altering the shape. Maybe the lens is mounted in a way tha tdoes that.

Hey, after the lamp died on my z2 four days before SB Sunday, I just lost it. OK?
