I need to find a decent ceiling mount for my Optoma HD131xe. Top of the viewing portion of my screen will be approx 14 inches from the ceiling. The HD131xe has an 8 inch offset and is approx 2.5 inches from base to center of lens for a total of 10.5 inches. So, Looks like I need a ceiling mount of 3.5 inches (or close to it) to make that 14 inch distance. I have a little room to play with and can raise the screen a bit if needed. I was looking at the Chief RPAU, but it is only 1.75 inches high. Any recommendations for a decent mount that fits this spec are greatly appreciated!

You can add a wooden diy plate above this mount to achieve proper distance. I own and like this mount. Easy to install, very adjustable. This one is 6" from mounting surface (ceiling) to center of lens.

EDIT: I will address what I see is a concern by some. There is plastic in the mount. There is also plastic in the mounting screw supports of the projector itself. This mount is made for the narrow 3 holed setup on the hd131xe. The other mount below, although all metal must be diyed into position to work.

The plastic vs all metal is something to consider, although in use I see and think it is not a problem.

YMMV.

This is another mount I use for another projector I have. The projector is the same mounting pattern as the hd131xe. This mount is a little taller. It requires some adapting to work, but works well and is very solid. Not quite as adjustable but does the task very well. This one is 8" from mounting surface (ceiling) to center of lens.

I have the same projector. This is the mount that I used. Works perfectly, all metal (not plastic). Highly recommend!

If the 3 legs fit the positions of the support holes of the hd131xe easily this looks like an excellent mount. A bit more spendy than I usually do. The reviews are very high on Amazon.
