Instead of turning the volume up on the sub, can you turn the LFE channel up on the receiver? Im trying to troubleshoot the auto sense on my vtf 3 mk II not working.

Yes, just go into the setup screens and look for manual speaker adjustment. You can cut or boost the level of any of the channels.


One thing to check for is how your speakers are set up. If you ran the auto setup program, with the mic, the system has a tendency to set speakers as large.


When set to large, you won't get any sub output unless you are playing a source with a dedicated sub channel, such as a DD or DTS movie sound track.


Playing a CD or other two channel source, even using one of the surround modes, won't use the sub.


This can be changed by either designating the speakers as small, or leaving them as large and changing the sub setting to plus on the speaker size menu.


This could be the source of your sub problem, not the sub itself.

I must have missed it. When I go into channels I didnt see LFE or Sub. I'll check again. I dont think its the sub.
