I would really like to get my 1st surround sound set and I was looking to try to spend up to $500 on the receiver, I could go higher if certain features require the higher cost. This is going to be in a living/dining room apartment medium size room. It is kind of an L shape room, roughly about 18 x 20 feet. What would the best budget Sound Receiver to buy?

I will try to hook a PS3, PC, TV/cable box and older systems like PS2, N64, SNES, Nintendo. Any speaker recommendations would be welcome as well.

Features I need:

At least 4 HDMI inputs

2+ RCA Inputs for legacy devices/older consoles

Component Video

WI-FI/Network compatibility

Accurate Authentic sound (This is probably the most important thing)

Front USB/HDMI

4k Compatibility would be nice but not needed.

I hear amazing things about the different Denon and Yamaha Receivers but there are so many out there, I CANNOT make up my mind what to get!

Would it be better to wait for the 2014 models of Denon's receivers to come out? Is accessories4less a reliable site? They offer a better deal for that Denon x2000 but I'm worried about the condition of the receiver.
