Does that work with the PS3?

From the page you just linked too..
Finally, a true Surround Sound headset with a microphone that will work with your PS3, Xbox 360, and PC/Mac. For the audio or movie enthusiast, the AX Pro is also compatible with any device that features a digital optical or 3.5mm analog 5.1 outputs.

I'd go with the triton simply for the positional audio. Its very useful for gaming, especially fps.

I use a Turtle Beach Audio advantage SRM for my pc and its similar to the triton set up. It has 4 speakers per cup that it uses to recreate positional sound. It works well for PC but unfortunatly doesnt work with the ps3.

Of those two you selected I would go with the triton for sure. True 5.1 can only be recreated in headphones with separate speakers. With video gaming I find the positional benefits of having 5.1 to be more beneficial than just really good quality headphones which I would prefer for music or movie watching.

This is not true. There isn't enough physical separation between the tiny speakers in those headphones to create a true 5.1 experience. DolbyHeadphone (or similar) processing with good quality stereo headphones can produce much better results.

It's a pity that the SteelSeries Siberia does not get more recognition. Their headsets are awesome and cheaper.

i Have had the tritton axpro and a mixamp astro a40 headset. I much prefer the axpro because it has better seperation and cost less. I use to be an astro fan boy but to be honest they are no better. Get the cheaper alternative and you will get better surround and the bass is much better in the axpro's

well you're totally wrong.

think about it... why else would turtle beach AND tritton drop their current product development and move towards 2 high quality drivers with dolby (or similar) surround processing technology? because it is superior.... plain and simple.
