Cant find a decent desktop case wothout paying a rediculously high price. Any suggestions (would like to stay under $100)?

Are many people just using Mini'Mid towers?

Can't say what other people are doing, but I bit the bullet and bought a Digitalis Vision 2 case. Yes it is hella expensive but given how much I spent on other components, it wasn't too bad.

I just bought one of these coolermaster cases. This one ($97 + $10 shipping) is steel construction vs the $200 made of aluminum:

The cheapest I've found it at is from Axion:

The aluminum model has received great reviews (don't think they make it anymore). Though this model is steel with an aluminum front, it is basically the same.

Here are a couple of reviews: http://www.neoseeker.com/Hardware/Pr...ter_ATC610GX1/

I recently bought an Antec Sonata case from new egg for $89. I love the piano black case and it is surprisingly quiet-perfect for htpc!

Antec Sonata is the best choice. It is well built and designed for silent/quiet operation. Antec quality is amazing, the cases are tool-less chassis designs and have a look/feel that is second to none. You won't scratch yourself on sharp edges inside an Antec case since the edges are rolled and are very smooth. And that brings up another benefit, working inside an Antec case is a joy since everything is so well laid out and easy to take apart. The TRU-POWER power supply is very quiet near silent in operation.

Offcourse the loudest components in an Antec case will be CPU HSF, GPU HSF, and your Hard Disks. You can always tame them and you will no doubt want to since silence from a computer is like a breath of fresh air.

Thanks for the info everyone. I like the Cooler Master, now I have to find if my motherboard (an ASUS FS P4 478) will fit in a micro AT case.

I like the Coolermaster case but will you be limited to what size PCI cards you can put in the case? Will there be any problem with the long GeForce4 or a MyHD card?

Any news on the full ATX Coolermaster ATC-611?

Size, no (not with 600). Number yes since it is a mATX case so only 3 PCI slots.
