Can't get Windows XP to recognize X1

Hello,

I am trying to install the X1 firmware update, but can't get Windows XP to recognize the X1 connected via USB. I have followed the installation instructions to no avail, and have even manualy installed the driver. After manual instalation of the USB driver (selecting "Infocus Projector" from the several items contained in the drive inf file), I see an error in Windows Device Manager indicating that it could not start the device.

I noticed the Win-XP-USB.pdf file included with the 4.1 firmware update erroneously refers to Windows 2000 in the instructions. That is not encouraging. Does the USB connectivity work with XP?

Thank you,

Chris

While i don't have an X1 yet :) I did see this on a guys X1 the other night. He has firmware 3.8, which he orignaly upgraded from 3.6. He did this originally with XP and no problems. We tried 2 XP machines trying to get 4.1 on with NO luck (same problem as you) which maybe means that 3.8 has stuffed something up in the projector?

I'd try a 98 PC or something if you go one to eliminate XP
