I installed Zoom Player and it has been heaven compared to PowerDVD and WinDVD. The only problem is that I can’t get it to pass the Digital Signal through the SP/DIF jack on my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. When I have it use either the PowerDVD or WinDVD Audio decoder, and set it to output through the SP/Dif, I don’t get any sound at all. Setting it to output 2 channel analog works but when I set it to SP/DIF I get no sound.

What do I need to get Zoom Player to pass the digital signal? It works great with PowerDVD and WinDVD except those programs just seem clunky and bloated compared to Zoom Player.

If you use Winxp,

- Start/Settings/Control Panel/Sounds & Audio Devices/Audio/Sound Playback

Make sure SPDIF is selected

- in Zoomplayer Option/External make sure you select SPDIF for your audio player of choice

- make sure that the filter you selected is a default waveout one (as there are no Turtle Beach already createc)

If none of the above work, in ZP go to Options/Information/.DVD Manual Graph building article, and learn how to create your own dvdgraph. (everyone does in the end I guess ;))
