Can't see shows from satellite Replay unit

1119 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  ClearToLand
This morning I went to watch a show recorded on my basement replay unit, in my living room. Initially, the shows were there, but then all disappeared. The living room unit still "sees" the basement replay, but no shows appear. My DVArchive can see all the shows, and the basement can see the living room shows. I've tried updating to no avail. Any other suggestions or ideas?

Rebooting both Replaytv's should fix it.
Thanks. I was focusing on the upstairs unit only. Rebooting the basement did the trick.
that is also a problem if you have a big drive in the remote replay. i've got 3 replays, and the stock drive replays RARELY see the one with the 240 gig drive. If i end up with 40 or more free hours then it will start to show up... something about available memory IIRC is why it won't show the large replays.

More clearly stated, like TOTAL NUMBER OF SHOWS (~150 is recommended) - how many do you currently have on your 240GB RTV?

When I had to replace a "questionable" WD 120GB with a Seagate 200GB, I changed some of my "Guaranteed" recordings (Keep 4 episodes) from STANDARD to MEDIUM quality (to eat up more hard disk space). Keep the total under 150 and it'll work "pretty good"; under 200 and it'll work but "slowly"...
