I'm using MP Classic 6.4.9.1 and need help with starting playback. I am using a Windows switching program that operates a relay card off my parallel printer port to control items such as lights, sound levels etc. via automation. One of the commands also closes a switch wired across the spacebar of my keyboard to start MPC playing. The problem is that because Windows shifts focus to the switching GUI, MPC won't start because it's sent to the background. In other words, if another gui is running, it takes 'focus' away from MPC.
Is there another simple way of starting MPC (it remains launched at all times), a hotkey or some other method, while retaining Windows focus on my switching program ("Timer.. pulses in seconds"). This isn't as easy as it looks!
I have been looking at the HIP system on this site but are confused by all the options available.
