car subwoofer at home?

hi, i wanted to know if i can put my active phono car subwoofer at home(250 watts), i am not using it and so i wanted to use it with my stereo system cause i have never had one. but the sound quality is going to be good or not? and also , what kind of connection is needed to connect it to the amplifier? it is possible to connect? and i also wanted to know how you tune it up.

Yes you can. Many people use car audio subwoofer drivers for home theater use. Just make sure to buy a home theater amp.
Sometimes car subs come with recommended enclosure dimensions and tuning optimized for the transfer function of a car interior. Plug the T/S specs of the sub into an enclosure calculator to make sure the output is optimized with room acoustics in mind.
