Sweet... Local reviewer said to give it a couple episodes before deciding... Middle of episode 2 got her hooked...
Looks great, But I'm lost already.........too much football this weekend maybe?
Nice LFE with the DD5.1 audio.

During the young guys' vision of the storm at night in the cornfield especially.

There was a constant flow of wind out of my 16-46pc+ sub.
[QUOTE some of the best hd i've ever seen, excellent look and the series looks interesting. just my 2 cents

I may be biased since I adore Clea DuVall, but I really enjoyed it, looking forward to see where the series goes!

The 5.1 audio mix was great.
Looked really good and the sound was great!!!
Looked great. The jury is still out on the program itself. The first episode was a little slow but the episode was just setting up the series so I'll watch another couple of episodes--it could be a very good series (it had a Steven King quality to it).
Picture did look good and the show was interesting enough to get me to at least tune in for another week. Especially to get to see Adrienne
Interesting show, and quite different. Good PQ, excellent 5.1. I'll watch next week.
I believe I read someone describe it as a cross between Steinbeck and "Freaks." That was pretty much dead on! We enjoyed it immensely. I'm still amazed at how consistently the creative minds at HBO come up with something different and something interesting. And if you're old enough to remember, their string of original hits (in my memory anyway) dates all the way back to the old "First and 10" (I think that's what it was called anyway).

As for the PQ and sound, overall I thought it was a great presentation. There were a couple of scenes that appeared to go soft for a couple of seconds, but that was it. The DD 5.1 was outstanding. Looking forward to episode two. Just when I think I can watch football on Sunday nights, HBO comes up with another option - again.
Also out on this one, too many HD football games to watch!

That original HBO series was indeed called "First and Ten", and perhaps with noltalgia, I remember it to be much better and 'lighter' than ESPN's sensationalistic "Playmakers". And it starred a pre-blimp Delta Burke back when she was a total hottie. Another one of those first HBO series was "Dream On", one of the funniest and most clever half-hour comedies ever produced, and which began that trend of doing one version for HBO, and one tamer version for syndication.
The damned power went out in my neighborhood at 8:57 last night (wife was really pissed about missing the Sex & the City season finale) and didn't come back on until midnight. Is there any chance the pilot will be rerun in HD?
HBO reruns everything frequently, especially pilots. I still am surprised when I see some people haven't noticed that.

I really liked the show. It did move a little slow, but that's part of what makes it unique. It held my attention the whole time.
I thought the opening credit sequence was outstanding, with the tarot cards changing from 2D to 3D, and color to B&W, and "live" stills to artwork. (I hope I got all that right!) The show looks promising, too.

Think that's the first time anyone has said there were too many HD football games to watch. LOL.
