Casablanca II Help

I got a Casablanca II with one Xtreme DAC card 4 chanel configration.Recently I planned to upgrade it and bought a standard six chanel DAC from audiogon.My problem is that when I am inserting the card in the unit the system is not detecting it.I checked with Theta but they want the unit at the factory.Since I am situated in Asia and there is no THeta dealer is available and shipment of the unit is very risky I am totally help less.

Can any body help me how to go about it.I have checked the Theta website for help but no help for this specific case. Please help.

I had this problem with a ext + sup dac.


Check if something is loose on the 6ch std dac. you could also try the card in the other slot.


Other thing : do you have the procedure to install a new board ? you need to tell the CB2 what new board you are installing.

Audiman, Thanks for the response.I have checked in all slots but no success.I dont have the instruction. I just recieved the card .Is there any way I can get the installation procedure /software from some where?

Another forum member just reconfigured his CB2 DAC setup using this sheet. It works provided that your DAC card is compatible. You have to follow the procedure on the sheet whenever you put in a new DAC card or if you put in another DAC card. This procedure works for the CB2 but probably not for the CB3 which has the newer Crystal software.
