Cascading vs. Parallel for >1 Multiswitch

I have the 3 lnb oval dish but want to be future-proof when Austin gets the MPEG locals and I change out my current dish. I currently have a Zinwell WB68 multiswitch and just ordered another one that I will cascade with the current one to give me 12 outputs. I need 11 right now, but that could change in the future.

There is about a 25 foot run from my dish to my attic where the 2 Zinwell WB68's will reside and then the greatest distance to any of my direcTV receivers is around 30 ft.

I've read a little about using a wide-band satellite splitter to take the 4 outs from my dish into the inputs for each of the WB68's which would give me 16 outputs instead of the 12 I get with cascading. There seems to be splitters that have one port powered and others that have all ports powered. I am guessing I would need one of the the ones that have all ports powered -- is that correct? I was looking at the Eagle Aspen P-6102-AP -- would that work in my setup or should I consider another splitter?

thanks,

Murray

They should work fine..
The Eagle Aspen you listed should work fine. You do need power passing on all ports.

Also make sure that the output of each splitter goes to the same input on each WB68. The first splitter will go to input 1 on each WB68 and so on.
