Just completed new installation of CBII with Bel Canto amps (XLR cables) and Wilson 7 speakers, Watch center, and Watch surrounds.


Problem: With Theta & Amps on I hear "sssh" sound when I'm put my ear within 3 inches of any of the speakers. This is with no source hooked up. With source hooked up (DVD) and playing still here the sound. (again when ear is right next to speakers).


I haven't tried it with CBII unhooked and just the amps on as I had to leave for work.


Just wanted to see if anyone on forum had any guesses what may be causing this.


That said the performance of the system has been great and I would qualify this as nitpicking.

I don't think the "SHHS" sound is nitpicking. There must be a cause.

It could even be some cables too close or crossing each other or something wrong with your system ground. You are getting noise that should not be there (in a more perfect world).
