I have been ranting off and on about not getting HD CBS on cable because my local CBS is owner operated.

I have not seen, however, a logical explanation why non-owner operated stations are on cable when owner operated are not. In other words, why are non-owner operated CBS locals going on cable and why is it not a problem for them and it is a problem for the O and O?

CBS wants more from Comcast than its independent affiliates do.

The only cable operator with whom CBS has been able to come to an agreement regarding its O&O's (that I know of) is Time Warner.

Perhaps one of the AVS secret agents at Time Warner can find out what deal CBS has there. If we don't have an agent perhaps we can just send Time Warner a letter.

This whole thing gets more preposterous by the moment! I sincerely doubt that CBS is giving a better deal to Time Warner than Comcast. If it is good enough for Time Warner, it seems to be that the onus is on Comcast for not making a deal with CBS.
