CBS on Dish (NY area question)

Due to the antenna upgrade on the ESB, CBS-56 is gone in Northport. My 6000 still measures 70 - 90 but the picture is past tense.


I just pre-ordered the HD package for next week and while I had the CSR on the line I asked about CBS.


She said:


1. No legal problem whatsoever.


2. $6.99 local package is required in NYC area (due to some FCC gibberish) even though others outside of this area can get it for $1.50


So, is she yanking my chain? Anyone in the NYC area get Dish CBS without the local package?
