I used the HTM61 with the 684's and it sounded good (but I ended up with the 683's). I think you would want the same speakers from the same series for timbre matching. 685's should work great!

CDM-1 and HTM61, Match Well?
I really liked the HTM61 as a center but am torn between the 685 and CDM-1 as fronts. How well do the CDM-1 match with HTM61? I can't remember if I heard these or not when I went and demoed. I guess I was fixed on the 600 series.
