so i think this is an important point. i often read the posts from people on this forum and given their apparent depth of knowledge it can easily influence my opinion of various products. as many of you know i was at cedia this year and i think it is really interested that i saw the same demo's as everyone else and we all came to different conclusions.

- i liked the dwin for it's options and the sharp for it's price performance.

- jimmymack likes the seleco and sharp and thinks the dwin is not good.

- jason seemed to like the sharp, dwin and seleco but feels the piano is a bit niched.

- Pete has a slightly different spin

- Jeff Stewart thought the seleco 200 had the best color and the marantz was the best of the hd1 pj's.

my point is that i was there and saw the same demo's and i am amazed at the level of detail that people can provide from the little bit that we saw. i really think that since these were showing all different sources it is impossible to tell much about the pq. for instance i saw the 200 and they used a dvd with a section of very intense color. i remember thinking to myself that they had obviously selected this clip and cranked the saturation to make highlight the presenters point about how good their color was. i saw the sharp running in a hidden corner of the ti booth and there were parts of their hd loop that showed STUNNING color. the same pj showed other clips of the football game and i thought, wow the color is not as good as the seleco.

i learned something from every one of the posts and i think many are very articulate and knowledgeable but i think you should keep in mind that we all saw different things at the same show. i know i walked away thinking that i would need to spend some quality time with these pj's using source that i know and able to change the controls before i know if it is right for me.

this is worth what you paid for it http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif but i thought i should make this point. i figure when the time comes i will schedule a trip to avs or somewhere that i can spend some quality time with these units.
