Was contemplating going to CEDIA this year in Indianapolis. I've never been before, but I have plenty of air miles to burn.


Is there going to be a good AVS showing this year? Is it worth the trek?

Found the web site at http://www.cedia.org. The dates are 9/5-9/9. I can't make it. I was afraid of that.

Jason and I will be their. Sorry to say my wife will not be attending this year.


Keep an eye out on the site for a time and date that we will meet at the show again. Once on Friday, and once on Saturday as the prior years. Will report where and when as we get closer and confired on the booths to meet at.

I am a regular old ignorant consumer-type and I think I'm gonna go.


The website says you can do either, although the charge goes up for non-members.

Maybe some of the friendly exhibitor-type people will come through and offer us regular folk some passes (a la Tom Stites at INFOCOMM)? Or maybe you can go through AVScience? I know CEDIA's not really supposed to be for consumers, but if you're enough of an enthusiast to want to go... It is the biggest consumer products show for our type of hardware (although INFOCOMM had some nice eye-candy).

I'm just West of you here in Noblesville. I'd love to come over and see your setup as well. Your wall colors are the same as mine (well my plans anyway). The room is about another month from completion, as funds allow. Don't know if I can get into the show. I've never been to one, but a friend of mine (a previous hi-fi shop owner in Indy) might be going, as he purchased the old Irving Theater off Washington St.


Let's get together and share some dreams.

You won't have a problem getting into the show. Just go to cedia.org's website and fill in something (as a non-member).

I'm no installer, but I definitely fall into the 'make recommendations' category. I've caused a fair number of friends to spend money they never would have if it weren't for me. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif


Once it gets near the time for the show (September is a ways off), we can all figure a time to meet and go from there.
