Hello,

I have 4x Monoprice 8" angled (15deg) ceiling speakers (PID#4929) that are intended for Atmos/DTS:X in the future. Until the AVR's are more affordable I want to place these in my ceiling to be used as Front and Rear heights as part of a Neo:X configuration.

The ceiling is made up of 2x2 ceiling tiles so I have some flexibility to re-locate these speakers over time with little effort.

My AVR is the Denon 4520CI and the rest of the room is made up by a 7.2 in-wall arrangement.

For reference see attached diagram. I had also posted this question in my home theatre build thread but received no responses.

Thanks!

I didn't see what the actual question was. It looks like reasonable speaker placement if that is what you are asking.

Sorry, my question was whether ceiling speakers can be considered Heights since they point downward.
