I am planning on setting up a theater in my basement, which has 7 foot ceilings. I was looking at a projector mount, a metal one that the projector hangs upside down on, But I am a little worried with 7 foot ceilings that it will hang down and could get damaged easily. I would feel a lot more comfortable with an enclosed mount, but I have heard that doing so can drastically reduce lamp life. The ceiling is sheetrock and I have close to 3 feet between floors that I could work with if I needed to build up into the ceiling, but it is an older house and I'm afraid without enclosing around the projector it will fill with dust. Any one have any ideas on how I could get good airflow and a protective mount for my PJ.
