I have a room approx 16 x 13 x 7 the ceiling is drywalled with no insulation above. I am looking for a ceiling treatment idea to reduce the sound in the theater getting out. The room is in the basement and the main living area is above.


I was considering ceiling tiles glues directly to the existing drywall?

another layer of drywall will help with the bass more than the tiles. If you can afford the extra 1/2 inch to put it on RC even the the better. You could put the tile on after.
