is there any other center channel that can be used with a pair of mirage omd15 tower speakers besides the mirage omdc1. I cannot find it for sale anywhere except ebay and they want way to much money. is there any other center I could use and hopefully get in the rosewood color

I suggest the PSB Image C4 speaker, which should be quite compatible, and is available in a dark "cherry" finish that should match reasonably well.


Saturday Audio has them for a discounted price of $240, I think.

The front three should timbre match and a totally different brand of speaker like PSB is not really a valid choice.


If you can't afford a center then either sell your current speakers and get a front three you can afford or set your AVR to a phantom center.

Finding one is rosewood will be even more difficult although this guy is selling his rosewood c1 as soon as he finds a C2.

I would think an OMD 5 would work very well as a center channel. Woot has them today for a pretty good price, but you would have to hurry.

In case you're still searching for an OMD-1, Woot.com (owned by Amazon) recently offered some Mirage OMD speakers at very attractive prices. Not surprisingly, the speakers sold out very quickly. However, a rep from Mirage indicated that another offering would take place in late Summer or early Fall.


The Mirage rep stated OMD centre channel speakers eg. OMD-C1, OMD-C2 would likely be included in the next shipment. Pricing is on par with what Vann's was selling them at during their heyday ie. OMD-15 $399 each.
