Emotiva C2+
In the country I live in, C2 and kef q650c are similarly priced. Infact kef is ~10% cheaper. Would the choice still be Emotiva?Emotiva C2+
If you have the space for the C2+ it's a no-brainer. The Q650c is not a bad center but it only has one active woofer (the second one is just a passive bass radiator). The C2+ has TWO active woofers, two rear ports and a bigger enclosure so it will provide more headroom and play much "bigger" as well as deeper. It's basically a 3 way tower speaker laid down horizontally. In the country I live in, C2 and kef q650c are similarly priced. Infact kef is ~10% cheaper. Would the choice still be Emotiva?
Yes, unless you listen at ear-shattering levels.Would my old 8Ohm x1400h be able to drive c2+?
A concept center or a concept 20 will be your best options. If you have multiple listening positions and sit 10+ feet away, a Q650c could be a good option sins it will match the Concept 40's a little better.Hello everyone,
I’m upgrading my living room HT(25*12*10 ft)
AVR: Denon X1400h
Mains: Boston Acoustics A26, upgraded to Q Acoustics concept 40
Sub: No woofer to FV15HP
Rears: moving BA26 back to rears after QA 40 is delivered
Center: Boston Acoustics A225C
I’m trying to find a suitable upgrade to A225C that can work well with QA 40. Budget (~500 USD). Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
I failed to look at the flag of origin - if it's easier for you to get the KEF Q650c, then go with that.In the country I live in, C2 and kef q650c are similarly priced. Infact kef is ~10% cheaper. Would the choice still be Emotiva?
