Quick question regarding center speakers. I have an offer of accepting either a BIC America DV-62CLRS 6-Inch 2-Way Center Channel, or a RBH AC52 center channel speaker, at the same price (namely the same price as the BIC). Which should I take?

Whichever is the closest match to your current mains. If neither are, then do not pass go, do not collect $200, and go buy the truly matching center speaker.

The main are Polk 18" bookshelf speakers. Does either the BIC or RBH mesh well with those? Or should I go for a Polk center CS10 (more costly, but in my range)? Thanks for your reply.

Sorry for the lack of information - this system was inherited, and I have no documentation or even a model number on the speakers. They are Polk Audio speakers measuring 17" tall and 9" X 9" on the base.

Check reviews on http://www.audioreview.com/reviewscrx.aspx

for both models. BIC seems consistently well regarded for an inexpensive speaker.

Back to topic now. Not sure what model those Polks are, but if they are old models I would use a phantom center instead of finding a dedicated center.

I'd probably go for that, but exactly what Polks are your mains? Polk makes quite a few speakers.
