Center Speaker Recommendation between 2 heavy weights Elac VS SVS

Okay so I know by far damn near MOST everyone would say that the Center channel speaker is by the far the most important speaker because it's where most things happen over the course of a movie (unless one is watching one of those silent movies from back in the 20s or something)

So I want to go all out as far as spending $$ on it.

These two are popular enough that maybe perhaps I can come across someone that has had some experience with each or preferably both. There's also a major price difference between the 2 so naturally one would wanna gravitate towards the Elac especially if the sound quality difference isn't THAT much.

The 2 speakers are

I just created a thread not too long ago asking for help on different Klipsch speakers and the recommendations I got led me to choose one that I'm very super happy and impressed with so maybe hopefully the same can happen again with this if you believe lightning can strike the same place twice ;-)

If you're considering the SVS Ultra... might as well check out this.

🎵To dream, the impossible dream🎵
I've heard ELAC stuff and it sounds quite good. It has a reputation of being power hungry, which is not something I've heard about the SVS. More money does very roughly correlate to better sound, so especially as the SVS has larger woofers I'd try that, since if you buy them direct I *think* they are easily returnable maybe with a restocking fee. (So you might NOT want to get them from Amazon).

Definitely from an engineering point of view, 3-way designs like the SVS or coaxial mid/tweet like ELAC and KEF are better, avoiding "Venetian blind" dispersion problems.

What are your main speakers and other equipment? What is the room like? (pictures!?)
I had the UniFi center and it was very very good for the money. Never have heard the SVS though.

What speakers did you get?
all out? consider the Ascend Acoustics Sierra Horizon center

or tekton designs

double impact center: https://www.tektondesign.com/double-impact-center.html

double impact WIDE! https://www.tektondesign.com/double-impact-wide-center.html
If he went with a Klipsch L/R pair he should probably get the matching center.
