It's that time of year again to meet up with the "local" audio/video enthusiasts and hold another Home Theater Crawl! This will be a great time to meet new people, hear/see new gear and see some new home theater spaces.

Date: Saturday, March 28th 2015

Time: Starts at 10:00AM CST
Dinner at 5:00pm at my place
Ends when the last person goes home

Location: Des Moines Area - 4 different home theaters
For theater details see post #2

Special Guests
Jeff Permanian from JTR Speakers http://jtrspeakers.com/
Jim Salk from Salk Sound https://www.salksound.com/home.htm
Kent Farley from Hawkeye Audio http://www.hawkeyeaudio.com/
Chris Seymour from Seymour AV http://www.seymourav.com/

With the growing attendance, plans continue to evolve. We will be breaking up the attendee list into 3 different groups and cycle those groups through 3 different home theater spaces. Once everyone runs through the 3 theaters, we will all meet up at my theater, the Savoy.

At the Savoy, attendees will be able to:
*Meet all the other AV enthusiasts attending the Crawl
*Watch demos in the Savoy
*Listen to the JTR Noesis 210RT speakers
*Listen to Salk Exotica 3 towers
*Listen to Salk HT2-TL speakers
*Listen & see equipment brought by Hawkeye Audio (GoldenEar Triton Ones, Sony 350ES 4K projector, etc)
*Discuss equipment deals with Kent Farley from Hawkeye Audio - see below for a list of deals

If Stormwind is coming shouldn't we invite Orgrimmar?

Sorry bad joke, ex WoW player for many years...
Don't be sorry, I was tempted to post something similar. I recently resubbed after a couple years off to play with the wife and friends. Enjoying it so far, but I don't see it being a return to any serious raiding or anything.

Well good thing is now you don't have to. LFR makes it so you can see all the content fairly easily with little challange. Then you have regulars, flexs, heroics, etc that give you more difficulty if thats what you want. I hit lvl 100 on one of my toons, then quit shortly afterwords because I was playing by myself.

We are currently raiding pretty heavily in Destiny. Ya there are only two raids but I've been enjoying it a lot.

Heh I'm not sure if LFR would be a good or a bad thing. Unless the content is a lot easier I would probably be ready to hunt down and kill people after the inevitable wipe after wipe. Now that she's playing WoW I should probably look for a closed loop liquid cooler to squeeze a little more out of her i7 920. Unfortunately the case doesn't have room for a 240 setup. Still a 120 would be a lot better than the stock cooler.

Former WoW nerd here too. Not like my 10 year subscriber friend but I played for a while and even was a top 10 US rogue for a while in Cataclysm...

But back on topic. Hoping to find out my surgery date in the next 2 weeks so that I can firmly commit or de-commit to hosting.

For those attending, Kent at Hawkeye is planning on brining down a pair of GoldenEar Triton Ones as well as the new Sony 350ES 4K projector. He is also currently contacting all his suppliers to find out about special HT Crawl deals he can offer. These will be similar to the deals he offered the last two meets, roughly 20-35% off screens, speakers, AVR's.... Once he gets the final deals he can offer, I will announce them in this thread. If there is something you know you want to order, he can take your order ahead of time and bring the equipment with him to the HT Crawl.
