I was wanting to do the same thing. I was actually thinking about fabricating something that would hook onto the wrap around stand and would stick up behind the TV and then jut forward so that the speaker could set flush with the front of the screen and hover just above the screen. I dunno?? Anyone else have any better ideas??
There are several models of stands out there for sale that will work with thin Microdisplay sets. I would caution you though, that if the center channel is too heavy and you start mounting speakers on top, you could warp the mirror array leaving your TV useless. :(

However, I would search google among some of the other top electronic chain stores. I was able to find a stand at CC that worked great.

Good luck.

Do you mean warp the mirror array if the centre speaker falls on the t.v,sorry i don't know what you mean.I only need to put the centre speaker on some kind of shelf mounted into the wall. What stand do you use?

Thanks

I was mistaken then, I was under the assumption that you wanted to mount the stand on top of the television itself, which is possible with some stands out there in the marketplace. And yes, you can warp the mirror array by mounting a center channel speaker that is too heavy on top of a microdisplay. :)
I wouldn't want anything mounted to the TV itself. I was talking about hooking something to the wrap around stand and it extending up behind the TV and then jutting forward. It should not even touch the TV anywhere along it's course.
I'm having the same dilemma. I want to buy this TV, but I'm not sure what to do about my center channel speaker. I was thinking about getting some brackets for the wall and putting a glass shelf just above the TV.
I agree with you mshap there is only so much you can do and the obvious solution is some sort of bracket shelf or mounting apparatice behind the set secured to the wall.
